Sonia Petroff & Room to Read:
Strong confident women through education
"Girls should not be afraid to be extraordinary."
John Wood, Founder Room to Read
The very idea of launching Sonia Petroff first came to me at a Room to Read event I organised 5 years ago, highlighting their girls’ education program. I both admired Aunt Sonia for being a strong, independent career woman ahead of her time and I also have been involved with Room to Read from the get-go, as I strongly believe in the educational work they do especially with young girls, so I just saw a natural fit which needed to be made.
Every single Sonia Petroff purchase you make helps fund girls’ education through our partnership with Room to Read. Your purchases have already helped to provide more than 146,000 days of school, making a difference to the lives of girls around the world.
Through Room to Read, a day of school means more than just books and classrooms; each day of school enables a brighter future through life skills coaching and mentorship. Your contributions not only improve the daily lives of these incredible girls, but better enables them to become strong, confident and over time increases their chances of becoming financially independent.
I truly believe that “education is the movement from darkness to light”.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the light you are helping to create.
